Wood, as a natural material, can have different characteristics depending on the wood type, finish, and embellishments. It might need special attention and cautions especially when dealing with exotic woods and/or finishes. Wood has natural oils and if not taken care of can lead to dryness and brittleness in certain climates. Therefore, it is critical to understand the right approach to cleaning, restoring and preserving wood buttons. If you know the type of wood additional research will be advisable.
