Button Lovers Vegetable Ivory (Natural Material)

Please view the Cleaning Cautions section before proceeding. Remember this information is a suggestion and you proceed at your own risk.

Vegetable ivory (VI) is the hard, white endosperm of the tagua palm seed, also known as the tagua nut or corozo nut, which is sustainably harvested from rain forests in South America. Tagua is equivalent to elephant ivory in color, density and weight. It is not indestructible, since it is a natural plant material. It serves as a natural, biodegradable alternative to animal ivory and plastics.

Avocado pit (or stone) is a fruit seed and like VI is very dense. Both vegetable ivory and avacado pit are treated the same when it comes to cleaning.
