Lave stone (AKA lave rock) is a naturally dark porous igneous volcanic rock (basalt) that can be shaped into buttons. These lightweight buttons are durable with a earthy texture. You can find them in various shapes (flat, round, coin, cylinder) and sizes, often with two or four holes for sewing. These buttons can be used for aromatherapy due to their porous nature.
