There are notable differences between bone and ivory. However, the care is the same. Bone is more easily stained and colored than ivory because its structure is more open, which you can see darken tiny lines or holes that were once blood vessels. Ivory is a type of dentine, a hard material that makes up the majority of teeth and tusks on certain manuals. It's made of dense bone tissue that surrounds enamel.
